Concern is mounting following the alleged abduction of Abdi Aydid Ali, a prominent businessman and the owner of Attis Suites in Eastleigh, with leaders now calling on security agencies to urgently address the matter.
Fafi MP Abdikarim Osman has raised alarm over the incident, describing the reported abduction as deeply troubling and demanding immediate action from the relevant authorities.
In a statement shared on social media, the legislator said the circumstances under which the businessman was reportedly taken raise serious questions about public safety, due process, and adherence to the rule of law.
Osman reminded the Government that President William Ruto had previously pledged to end enforced disappearances and abductions allegedly linked to state authorities, a commitment that gave many Kenyans hope that such incidents would become a thing of the past.
The MP urged security agencies to urgently clarify the whereabouts of Abdi Aydid Ali and provide transparency regarding the situation.
He further stated that if the businessman is in police custody, authorities should publicly confirm it and either release him immediately or follow the proper legal procedures.
Alternatively, Osman called for a swift and transparent investigation to establish what happened and ensure that anyone responsible for the alleged abduction is held accountable.
The legislator emphasized that protecting citizens and respecting due process must remain a key pillar of governance, warning that failure to address such incidents risks eroding public trust in state institutions. ⚖️
