In the ongoing crackdown on criminal gangs across the country, officers from Dandora Police Station have seized a Desert Eagle 50 AE magnum pistol.
Acting on crucial intelligence, the team sprang into action with a targeted raid in Dandora Phase 5, where a nefarious group was plotting to unleash terror on innocent members of the public in Katoo area.
As officers closed in, the suspects scattered like leaves in the wind, vanishing into the night, but not before one of the suspects dropped a jacket.
Inside that jacket, officers found an Israeli made Desert Eagle 50 AE magnum pistol tucked away in one of the jacket’s pockets, waiting to be unleashed.
This potent piece of firepower has now been dispatched to the National Forensic Laboratory (NFL), where ballistic experts will dissect its history to uncover whether it’s linked to other nefarious deeds.
With the heat turned up and the hunt intensifying, police are leaving no stone unturned to track down the slippery suspects still at large.
As the saying goes, “Every dog has its day,” and for these criminals, their day of reckoning may be just around the corner.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has ramped up intelligence-led operations nationwide, tightening the noose around criminal gangs that thrive on fear and lawlessness.
