Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been thrust into renewed controversy after his former Communications Director, Martha JM Miano, made explosive allegations against him in a Facebook post.
Miano, who worked in Gachagua’s office prior to his impeachment, claimed he allegedly fathered several children outside his marriage despite publicly portraying himself as a devoted family man.
In her post, she alleged that during his tenure as Deputy President, Gachagua used his position of influence to lure women into relationships, some of which reportedly resulted in pregnancies.
Miano also claimed that two university students allegedly carrying his pregnancies were targeted in a plot to eliminate them.
Adding to the controversy, she further alleged that Gachagua had a relationship with his late brother’s wife, with whom he allegedly fathered a child.
This is not the first time the former Deputy President has faced such claims.
A few months ago, former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria made similar allegations on X (formerly Twitter), linking Gachagua to a plot involving the death of a woman believed to have been his side chick from Mathira.
