The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has today, 7th October 2025, arrested and arraigned Mr. Michael Kilonzo Mualuko following investigations into allegations of using a forged KCSE certificate to secure employment at the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC).

The Commission received an allegation that Mr. Mualuko had presented a forged KCSE certificate purportedly issued by Bishop Ndingi High School.

Investigations conducted by the EACC established that the document was falsified and had been used to gain employment at NCWSC.

Upon completion of investigations, the Commission submitted the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), who concurred with the recommendation to institute criminal proceedings.

Mr. Mualuko was arraigned today before Hon. SPM Ondieki on the following charges: Forgery, Uttering a false document, Deceiving principal, Presentation of a forged certificate.

He pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was released on cash bail of Kes100,000 or a bond of Kes1 million.

Court will reconvene for mention on October 22nd. The EACC reiterates its commitment to promoting integrity and accountability in public institutions and will continue to take firm and decisive action against individuals involved in document fraud and all other forms of corruption.
