Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju was reportedly forced into a Subaru at Karen Police Station, with his lawyers alleging police refused to formally book him in the Occurrence Book (OB).
The dramatic development came shortly after Tuju resurfaced on Monday, following his reported disappearance on Saturday.
According to his family, Tuju vanished alongside his aide Steve Mwanga while heading to a radio interview, with his car later found abandoned in Karen.
Tuju claimed he went into hiding after detecting suspicious individuals trailing him in an unmarked vehicle, managing to evade them before seeking refuge in Kiambu.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations had launched investigations but faced resistance after being denied access to his home.
His lawyer, Ndegwa Njiru, alleged plans to charge him with giving false information.
The unfolding saga is linked to a Sh1.9 billion dispute over Dari Business Park, intensifying the controversy.
A video has emerged showing the once powerful CS writhing in pain as his woes continue.
In the video, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is heard consoling him.
