A young man from Nairobi has sparked online discussion after claiming that he was romantically involved with SportPesa Chief Executive Officer Ronald Karauri, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Kasarani.
The man, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, alleges that the relationship lasted for some time before the two eventually parted ways.
Following the reported breakup, he claims that Karauri has allegedly been threatening him and that he has been followed by individuals using an unmarked vehicle.
The man further alleges that he possesses photographs of the two together during what he describes as happier moments, and has warned that he may release them should the alleged intimidation continue.
According to his account, he had previously been in a relationship with another man before he claims Karauri approached him at a restaurant in Nairobi.
He has since shared screenshots on social media which he says are conversations linked to the alleged affair.
Ronald Karauri, who divorced his wife last year amid reports of infidelity, has previously been linked to Tanzanian socialite Nana Dollz, although that relationship reportedly ended shortly afterwards.
The claims made by the young man remain unverified, and Karauri has not publicly responded to the allegations.
