Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has accused Ex-Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of working with what he described as a “criminal gang” allegedly involved in the assault of Lamu Woman Representative Muthoni Marubu over the weekend.
In a statement shared on social media, Kuria claimed that one of the individuals said to have taken part in the incident is a former police officer who is allegedly facing a pending murder case and is reportedly linked to a missing firearm.
Kuria further alleged that the individual is associated with the former Deputy President, whom he accused of enabling the group.
Kuria alleged that “the man is the leader of Rigathi Gachagua’s criminal gang that assaulted Lamu Woman Rep Muthoni Marubu on Saturday during the burial of Embakasi North MP James Gakuya’s mother.
Muthoni was assaulted after drumming up support for President William Ruto re-election while addressing mourners, forcing her to flee to safety and leave the burial ceremony.
