New details have emerged regarding the sudden death of veteran journalist and KBC Mayienga FM boss Festus Amimo, who collapsed inside a Nairobi hotel room over the weekend.
According to a police OB report, Amimo was in the company of a woman at the time of the incident.
The woman, identified as Collata Ann Ngesa, is said to have alerted the hotel management after Amimo suddenly collapsed during their private moments together.
Security officers responded immediately and rushed to the room, where they found the long-serving media personality unresponsive.
Medical personnel were called in, but unfortunately, he was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police officers processed the scene before moving the body to the City Mortuary for preservation and post-mortem.
Preliminary indications suggest that Amimo may have suffered medical complications, with some sources pointing to a possible reaction linked to the use of “blue pills.”
However, detectives emphasize that the exact cause of death will only be known after a full medical examination, and investigations are ongoing.
The woman who was with him at the time has already recorded a statement as part of routine police procedure.
She is reported to be a junior staff member at KBC.
