“Raila Amefanya Tuko Kwa Ndege!” – Kenyans React Inside the Plane That Carried the Body of Raila from India (VIDEO)

Supporters of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga boarded the Kenya Airways plane that transported his body from India to Nairobi after breaching the airport security.

They broke the gate and overpowered security officers, before boarding the historic plane.

In a video that has since gone viral, the mourners are heard exclaiming, “Raila amefanya tuko kwa ndege!” — loosely translated as “It’s because of Raila that we are on this plane!” — a statement capturing the deep emotional connection and admiration many Kenyans have for the late statesman.

The flight, which touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Thursday morning, carried close family members, ODM officials, and senior government officials who had been in India.
