Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has come out strongly to defend the progress of the Narok International Airport, dismissing critics accusing President William Ruto of failing to deliver on his promise to complete the project by March 2026.
Taking to his X account, the vocal senator took aim at what he described as “naysayers” on social media, insisting that residents on the ground are well aware of the actual progress being made.
According to Ole Kina, the airport’s runway is already about 60 percent complete, a milestone he says cannot be ignored despite ongoing criticism.
He attributed the slowdown in construction to heavy rains experienced in February and March, noting that the weather conditions made it impossible for work to proceed as planned.
The senator emphasized that such delays are normal in large infrastructure projects and should not be politicized.
“None of those making noise online have even visited the site,” he remarked, accusing social media commentators of spreading misinformation without firsthand knowledge of the situation.
Ole Kina further maintained that criticism of the President should be based on facts rather than assumptions or political bias.
He challenged detractors to acknowledge the visible progress, stating that personal dislike for President Ruto does not change the reality on the ground.
