Tensions between the family of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo and her husband Tash appear to be deepening weeks after her burial.
In a TikTok Live session, Betty’s brother alleged that Tash has not handed over the children to the family, despite repeated discussions and requests regarding their welfare.
According to him, Tash has allegedly been giving vague or inconsistent responses when asked about his long-term plans for the minors, leaving the grieving family anxious and uncertain.
The situation has reportedly caused significant distress to Betty’s mother, who lives in the United States.
“My mother is deeply worried and concerned. She keeps calling, asking about the fate of Betty’s kids,” he said during the livestream.
The family is now suggesting that the children be placed under the care of either their biological father, Pastor Victor Kanyari, or Betty’s elder sister, whom they believe can provide a more stable environment.
He further claimed that Tash is currently living with another woman in the house that the late singer had rented before her passing — a development that the family says has only heightened their concerns.
The matter remains unresolved as the family continues to seek clarity on the future of the children.
