The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party Communications Director, Antonellah Kakuko, is recuperating from serious injuries following a road accident that left her vehicle badly damaged.
Kakuko shared photos of the wreckage on social media, expressing gratitude for surviving what she described as a near-fatal ordeal.
She said the crash has now become her “greatest testimony” as the year came to a close, noting that many people who have seen the damaged vehicle still struggle to understand how she made it out alive.
“What the enemy intended for destruction, God turned into preservation. I should not be here by human standards, but by divine mercy, I am alive,” she wrote.
Despite surviving the accident, Kakuko revealed that her recovery journey is far from over.
She disclosed that she is scheduled to undergo two additional surgeries on January 7, 2026, as part of ongoing medical treatment.
She described the period ahead as one marked by pain, healing and patience — but also by renewed purpose and gratitude for life.
“I am not out of the woods yet… But I wake up breathing. I wake up with purpose. And that is everything,” she added.
Last year, Kakuko was among individuals linked to allegations of mobilising groups accused of infiltrating anti-government protests led by Gen Z demonstrators
