Shock and grief have engulfed Kisumu after a man identified as Silas Onyango, alias Woud Sammy, was brutally murdered in what detectives suspect was a carefully orchestrated attack.
According to police reports, Onyango was driving home on the evening of Wednesday, October 1, when unknown assailants ambushed him.
The attackers dragged him out of his vehicle before stabbing him 15 times, killing him on the spot in a bloody scene that has left residents horrified.
The killers disappeared into the night, leaving investigators to piece together the motive behind the savage killing.
Detectives have since launched a manhunt for the suspects as the probe into the murder intensifies.
Meanwhile, Onyango’s devastated family and friends have taken to social media to mourn his shocking death, describing him as a jovial and hard-working man whose life was cut short in the most brutal way.
Police are now appealing to members of the public to volunteer any information that could help track down the killers.
