Fresh drama has erupted around Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior after his former lover, Victoria Wambui Ndunge Musyoki, resurfaced with shocking allegations that he had her locked up at Lang’ata Women’s Prison and ordered her to be tortured.
The sensational claims revive a nearly decade-old controversy that rocked the governor’s reputation.
Ms Musyoki had sued Mutula, insisting that he fathered her child.
For years, the case dragged in court, fuelling gossip across political and social circles.
At its core was a paternity test that Ms Musyoki repeatedly avoided.
When the test was finally conducted, the results were conclusive: Governor Mutula was not the father.
The court not only dismissed the case as baseless but also ordered Ms Musyoki to refund Ksh 15 million Mutula had given in good faith, believing the child was his.
When she failed to comply, she was lawfully arrested and imprisoned – a consequence of her deception.
Now, years later, she has resurfaced with fresh claims of torture behind bars, a move that observers see as a desperate attempt to revive a collapsed case that crumbled under hard evidence.
