The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a nationwide manhunt for 28-year-old Wycliffe Otieno Odero, who is wanted in connection with the brutal murder of his wife and two children in the Yare area of Samburu Central Sub-County.

According to investigators, the gruesome incident occurred on the night of September 27, 2025, when the suspect reportedly returned to their rented house along the Maralal–Nyahururu road, where he lived with his wife, Ann Njeri Atheera, and their two daughters, Natalia Nyambura (6) and Tyra Jones (4).

In what detectives believe was a fit of drunken rage, the suspect allegedly stabbed his wife multiple times, causing fatal injuries, before turning his attack on their two sleeping children, slitting their throats.

He then fled into the night and has remained at large since.

Despite intensive tracking efforts, the suspect has continued to evade arrest, prompting the DCI to appeal to members of the public for any information that could lead to his capture.

Anyone with information regarding Wycliffe Otieno Odero’s whereabouts is urged to report immediately to the nearest police station or contact the DCI toll-free hotline (0800 722 203).

The DCI has assured the public that any information shared will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
