Residents of Ruaka were left in shock on Tuesday morning after a middle-aged man was discovered dead inside his car in what police suspect to be a case of ‘mchele’ overdose.
According to reports, the deceased may have fallen victim to the infamous ‘mchele ladies’—a group of women known for drugging unsuspecting men before robbing them of their valuables.
Witnesses said the car had been parked in the same spot since early morning, sparking curiosity and fear among locals. When some residents peeped through the window, they were met with a disturbing scene — the man’s lifeless body slumped on the driver’s seat.
Police officers quickly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area as detectives launched investigations into the incident.
The body was later removed and taken to the mortuary pending a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
