Police officers based at Diani Police Station have arrested two men believed to be key members of a criminal gang accused of terrorising members of the public in the Tanduri area along the Diani beachfront.

The duo was apprehended during a security operation conducted as part of an intensified sweep along the Ukunda beachline, targeting organised criminal groups suspected of disrupting peace in the popular tourist hub.

The suspects, identified as Kennedy Hassan, 29, and Brian Mwangi Karanja, 24, are currently being held at Diani Police Station as they undergo processing ahead of their court arraignment.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said it remains committed to dismantling criminal networks and restoring public confidence, vowing continued operations to keep Kenya’s streets and beaches safe for both residents and visitors.
