Wycliffe Omari, an officer attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) at Kisumu Central Police Station, has been found dead in what is suspected to be a suicide.

Omari, who had been serving at the station since 2023, was described by colleagues and acquaintances as a dedicated officer who was both helpful and committed to his duties.

News of his death emerged today, initially circulating as rumours before being confirmed by colleagues at the station.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities have not yet issued an official statement detailing the cause of death or the events leading up to it.

His sudden passing has left colleagues, friends, and those who knew him in shock and mourning.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
