PNU Party leader Peter Munya has criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, describing him as “a bully” and urging him to exercise greater responsibility and courtesy when addressing fellow leaders.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Munya faulted Gachagua’s style of politics, arguing that his choice of words often fuels unnecessary political tension and divisions within the opposition.

Munya pointed to Gachagua’s recent remarks about Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata, whom the former Deputy President referred to as “kiherehere.”

He further claimed that the governor was later attacked by goons while attending an event in Ol Kalou, saying political leaders should be mindful of the impact their public statements can have.

“Gachagua is a bully. You saw when he talked about the Governor of Murang’a, calling him ‘kiherehere,’ and the governor was attacked by goons when he went to Ol Kalou,” Munya said.

The PNU leader urged Gachagua to embrace a more respectful and measured approach when engaging fellow leaders and the public, arguing that courtesy would strengthen his political influence.

“We think he needs to act more responsibly when dealing with leaders and all human beings. Use your language in a more courteous manner, you’ll go further than you have gone,” Munya added.
