PNU Party leader Peter Munya has called on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to stop issuing threats against fellow political leaders, even as he affirmed that he respects him and appreciates his role in exposing what he described as the failures of the current government.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV hosted by Jeff Koinange, Munya said he and his party have no personal differences with Gachagua, adding that they recognize his contribution to holding the Kenya Kwanza administration to account.
“We don’t have anything personal against Gachagua; we respect him. He has done a lot of work in terms of exposing the failures of the current government,” Munya said.
The former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary added that the PNU party is willing to work with Gachagua but expressed concern over what he described as the former Deputy President’s tendency to intimidate and threaten other political leaders.
“We respect him and want to work with him, but the tendency to want to be a dictator and issuing threats to other people, he needs to stop it,” Munya stated.
