Concern is growing over the whereabouts of 28-year-old Kenyan national Philip Kibet Ngeny, who has reportedly been missing in the United Kingdom since losing contact with family and friends earlier this month.
Philip travelled to the UK in September 2023 to pursue his studies at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
After completing his studies, he reportedly began working at a warehouse in Norwich.
His family and friends say he was last known to be reachable by phone around 7 August 2026, after which repeated calls and messages reportedly went unanswered.
Concerns had already emerged in late July when Philip was reportedly planning to relocate to Coventry.
A friend, Ezekiel, says he travelled to an agreed meeting point to assist Philip with the move, but Philip did not show up.
His sister, Patricia Meto, says Philip’s communication had also become unusual.
She says a message she sent on July 28 only received a brief response on August 4, something she considered out of character.
Friends have continued trying to reach him without success. Lesly Choge says she reported Philip missing to police on 18 August, with reference number 001713-18082026.
The family is now making an emotional appeal to Philip to contact them, even briefly, to confirm that he is safe.
“Philip, where are you? We just hope you are okay. Kindly reach out, at least so that we know you are okay.”
Anyone with information about Philip’s whereabouts is urged to contact West Midlands Police or reach his family on +254 790 211 791 or +44 7349 688185.
