A boda boda rider identified as Ian is seeking justice following an accident involving the motorcade of Dagoretti South MP John KJ Kiarie along Kikuyu Road yesterday.
According to Ian, the incident occurred as the convoy was moving along the busy road, allegedly knocking him down and leaving both him and his passenger injured.
His motorcycle, which serves as his sole source of income, was extensively damaged in the crash.
The two were rushed to Mutuini Level Four Hospital where they received first aid.
However, X-ray results later confirmed that Ian had sustained a serious tarsal injury.
He is now confined at home, immobilised and in pain, unable to work or provide for his family as medical expenses continue to mount.
Ian says the accident has left him in a difficult financial position, with hospital bills accumulating and no income coming in.
He also claims that, despite the severity of the incident, there has been no communication from the MP or his representatives.
“There has been no call, no visit, no follow-up — nothing,” Ian reportedly said, expressing frustration over what he views as a lack of concern from a public servant.
As he focuses on recovery, Ian is appealing to authorities to investigate the matter, ensure accountability, and assist in facilitating compensation for his medical treatment and motorcycle repairs.
