Fresh claims have emerged after former Communications Director, Martha J. Miano, made explosive allegations regarding the handling of a prime property linked to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s late brother.

According to Miano, the dispute revolves around a hotel located in Nairobi’s Upper Hill area, reportedly valued at around KSh 800 million.

She alleges that the property was deliberately undervalued to approximately KSh 400 million during the sale process.

Miano further claims that a buyer linked to the transaction acted as a proxy for Gachagua, and that large sums of money were allocated as “broker’s fee” and “shares” among individuals connected to the deal.

According to Miano, Gachagua allegedly took KSh 30 million as a “broker’s fee” after undervaluing the property.

She also allegedly took a 5% “share” for his late mother, a 10% “share” for himself, and another 5% “share” for his wife, in what she claims was exploitation of his late brother’s family.
