The Director of Criminal Investigations, Mr. Mohamed Amin, on Monday evening paid a condolence visit to the Inspector General of the National Police Service, Mr. Douglas Kanja, following the passing of his father, Mzee Weston Kirocho Kanja, on October 14, 2025.

During the visit, Mr. Amin expressed deep sorrow and conveyed condolences on behalf of the entire Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) fraternity.

He described the late Mzee Kirocho as a respected family man whose legacy will continue to live on through his children and the values he imparted in them.

Mr. Amin also assured the Inspector General of the DCI’s full support and solidarity during this period of mourning, emphasizing that the entire law enforcement community stands united with him and his family as they come to terms with the loss.

“The DCI family joins you in grief and prayer during this difficult time. May Mzee Kirocho’s soul find eternal peace,” said Mr. Amin.

The passing of Mzee Weston Kirocho Kanja marks a somber moment for the National Police Service family, as colleagues, friends, and leaders from across the country continue to send messages of comfort to the Inspector General and his loved ones.
