life and joy filled Lucky Summer estate after two missing children, Ketra Alisi (10) and Juneida Ashuma (3), were reunited with their family, ending a three-week ordeal that had caused widespread concern.

The reunion came just a day after their story aired on a local TV station, sparking public awareness that eventually led to their safe return.

The minors were traced to the Hope Child Rescue Center in Kayole, where they had been placed for safety.

According to the center’s director, Michael Oduor Makokha, the children were brought in by a good Samaritan who had earlier taken them to Mugendi Police Station in Soweto.

For three weeks, their family had been living in anguish, with their grandmother battling hypertension from the stress of the disappearance.

When the girls finally returned home, emotions ran high. Their mother, Josephine Otindo, broke down in tears as she embraced her daughters, while their grandmother, despite her limited mobility, expressed immense relief.

“This is nothing short of a miracle,” a neighbor said, describing the reunion as a moment of hope for the community.

The case has ignited conversations on child safety in urban areas, raising questions about how easily minors can go missing in public transport systems and the crucial role of media and public awareness in tracing them.
