Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu on Monday visited Mogondo Village in Emurua Dikirr to convey his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Hon. Johana Ng’eno following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed his life and five others.
During the visit, Governor Ntutu condoled with Mama Mary Temas, the mother of the late MP, and met representatives of the families of the other victims who perished in the accident.
In an emotional message shared on his social media platforms, the Governor described Ng’eno as not only a friend and political confidant but also his son-in-law, saying the loss was deeply personal and profoundly painful.
He also extended his sympathies to the families of his staff member Wycliffe Rono alias “Sportpesa,” KFS officer Amos Kipngetich, Carlos Keter, and Nick Kosgey, who also lost their lives in the crash.
“Pole sana to the people of Emurua Dikirr, Transmara, Narok County, the Kipsigis community, and the entire Kalenjin nation for the loss of a brave, hardworking, and forthright leader. I recognize that many have suffered a great loss; however, on a personal level, I have lost even more,” the Governor said.
Governor Ntutu reiterated his call for independent and thorough investigations to establish the cause of the fatal crash.
He was accompanied by his deputy Hon. Tamalinye Koech, Bomet Governor Hon. Hillary Barchok, Narok County Woman Representative Hon. Rebecca Tonkei, Kilgoris MP Hon. Julius Ole Sunkuli, Chepalungu MP Hon. Victor Koech Mandazi, several MCAs from Narok and Bomet counties, County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiatia, and members of the County Security Team.
