A suspected phone snatcher involved in multiple theft incidents along Kasarani–Mwiki Road has been caught on camera after attempting to unlock a stolen Samsung S24.
The incident occurred near Kasarani Primary School, close to the Seasons area, underscoring the growing concern over coordinated street thefts targeting pedestrians in the neighborhood.
According to eyewitnesses, the stolen phone automatically captured images of the suspect during the attempted unlock, inadvertently exposing his identity.
Preliminary investigations suggest the suspect is part of a three-man gang believed to be behind a series of phone snatching incidents along the busy stretch.
The images captured by the device have since been shared online to help members of the public identify the suspect and provide information to authorities.
Residents of Kasarani, Seasons, Clay City, Hunters, and surrounding areas have been urged to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures to avoid falling victim to the coordinated thefts.
