The family of Pastor Jeremiah Atemba, a clergyman at Christ the King Church, Varaniki, is appealing for public assistance after failing to locate his body following his death at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
According to relatives, Pastor Atemba, who lived in Thogoto, Kikuyu, Kiambu County, passed away on December 22, 2025, while undergoing treatment at KNH.
However, when the family went to collect his body on January 2, 2026, hospital officials reportedly informed them that the body could not be traced.
Since then, efforts to establish what happened have yielded no clear answers.
The family says they reported the matter to the police, but instead of progress, they have been subjected to repeated back-and-forth with no resolution.
The ordeal has left the family emotionally distressed and unable to give their loved one a proper burial, as they continue to seek answers regarding the mysterious disappearance of his remains.
Pastor Atemba was widely respected for his devoted service to his congregation and the surrounding community.
News of his missing body has sparked widespread concern and outrage among church members and local residents, many of whom are now calling for urgent investigations and accountability from the relevant authorities.
