Subject: A Heartfelt Plea for Intervention in the Genocide Unfolding in Tanzania
Your Excellency,
I write to you today not as a politician nor as an activist, but as a helpless human being whose heart is heavy with sorrow and fear. My name is Alawiya, and I am appealing to you with utmost humility and desperation to intervene or to help galvanise the international community to act in stopping the genocide that is unfolding in Tanzania.
What is happening there today is nothing short of a human tragedy. Innocent men, women, and children are being slaughtered; villages are being burnt; and thousands are fleeing their homes in search of safety that no longer exists.
The air is thick with grief, and the silence of the world is deafening. The cries of the oppressed seem to fall on indifferent ears, yet their suffering demands an urgent and courageous response.
Your Excellency, I have always believed that the United States stands as a beacon of hope, democracy, and humanity. In moments like these when tyranny rises and innocent blood is spilled, your voice carries the power to awaken global conscience and to restore faith in humanity’s collective will to do what is right.
I implore you to use your influence and leadership to rally the United Nations, the African Union, and other democratic nations to intervene before the situation deteriorates beyond repair. The people of Tanzania cannot wait for history to repeat itself. The world once said “Never Again” after Rwanda, yet here we stand, witnessing another tragedy in silence.
I am not asking for condemnation alone—I am pleading for action. Humanitarian corridors must be established. International observers must be deployed. Sanctions must be imposed on President Samia Suluhu and her government and all those orchestrating and enabling these atrocities. The people of Tanzania need protection, not promises.
Please, Your Excellency, let history remember that when humanity trembled, you chose to stand on the side of justice and compassion. The lives of countless innocent people depend on the choices made in the coming days.
With deepest respect and urgent hope,
Yours faithfully,
Alawiya.
