A man has shared a video online showing a vehicle parked at the Golf Hotel in Kakamega, reportedly loaded with several suitcases said to contain large amounts of cash.
In the clip, the heavily tinted vehicle is seen at the hotel’s parking lot as unidentified men load multiple suitcases before driving off to an unknown destination.
According to online whispers, the money is allegedly linked to the upcoming Malava by-elections slated for November 27th, with claims that it may be intended for voter bribery.
President William Ruto’s powerful Personal Assistant, Farouk Kibet, has been actively campaigning in Malava for months, rallying support for UDA candidate David Ndakwa in what has been described as a high-stakes political contest.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has in the past raised concerns about Government spending in various by-elections, claiming taxpayer money was being misused.
