The court has reviewed a 30-minute CCTV footage capturing the final moments of 23-year-old interior designer Jeff Mwathi, who died under mysterious circumstances after falling from DJ Fatxo’s apartment in Roysambu in February 2023.

The footage, which was presented as part of the ongoing inquest into Mwathi’s death, provides crucial insight into the events leading up to his fatal fall.

According to investigators, the video shows Jeff arriving at DJ Fatxo’s apartment late at night, accompanied by a group of men and women.

He is said to have spent several hours inside the apartment before the tragic incident occurred.

Moments before the fall, the footage reportedly shows two men entering the apartment, after which Jeff is seen plunging from the 10th floor of the building.

Authorities say the footage could prove vital in determining whether Mwathi’s death was accidental, suicidal, or the result of foul play.

The two men captured in the video have since been named as key suspects in the ongoing investigation.

The inquest continues as the court reviews more evidence and hears testimonies from witnesses in a case that has gripped the nation for over two years, with Kenyans demanding justice for the young designer whose death shocked the country.
