In a shocking act of domestic fury, Susan, a woman in her 30s and an employee at Inspire Credits, was brutally slain by her lover in Mwanyani market as she boarded a boda boda on her way to work.
According to witnesses, the suspect, who had concealed a panga and two knives, ambushed her in broad daylight, hacking her to death on the spot and leaving bystanders in disbelief.
Panic and chaos erupted at the scene, with enraged members of the public swiftly delivering mob justice—lynching the attacker before police could arrive.
Officers who later arrived at the scene praised the community’s quick response but lamented the double tragedy, saying two lives had been lost unnecessarily.
“Such barbarity has no place here,” one eyewitness said. “If love turns toxic, walk away—don’t arm yourself for murder.”
The gruesome killing has reignited conversations around rising cases of intimate partner violence, with detectives now probing what led to the cold-blooded attack.
