AAR Hospital has issued an official statement responding to widespread online claims that it denied emergency medical care to celebrated gospel musician Betty Bayo, who passed away recently.
In the statement dated November 13, 2025, the hospital expressed its deep condolences to Bayo’s family, friends, and fans, describing her death as “deeply regrettable.”
“The Management and Staff of AAR Hospital deeply regret her passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and fans during this difficult time. We share in their sorrow and respectfully honour her memory,” the hospital stated.
Clarifying the events surrounding her hospitalization, AAR revealed that Betty Bayo was admitted to the facility for two days, during which she received emergency and critical care.
The hospital further confirmed that her diagnosis was established during her stay.
“After her initial stabilization and medical assessment, the patient and her family later opted to transfer her to another medical facility for further specialized treatment,” the statement added.
While citing medical ethics and patient confidentiality, AAR Hospital declined to disclose further clinical details.
However, it assured the public that it remains steadfast in its commitment to professionalism and quality healthcare.
The hospital also addressed the numerous online reports that have been circulating since Bayo’s death, emphasizing that many of them were “inaccurate and misleading.”
“We assure the public that AAR Hospital remains committed to the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and transparency,” the statement concluded.
