The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned Roy Sasaka Telewa, CEO of the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), to record a statement as part of ongoing investigations into unexplained wealth estimated at around Ksh 1 billion.
The development follows search operations conducted on January 8, 2026, at Telewa’s residence and office.
Investigators are examining possible links to corruption, procurement irregularities, and unusual asset accumulation during his tenure at NGAAF and his earlier service at the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).
According to EACC, the probe covers transactions and properties acquired between January 2021 and January 2026, a period encompassing his senior roles in public procurement and management.
During the searches, officers recovered materials deemed relevant to the investigation, which are expected to guide the ongoing inquiries.
EACC stated that once the probe concludes, appropriate legal actions will be determined, which may include prosecution, forfeiture of unexplained assets, or recovery of proceeds linked to corruption.
This case highlights EACC’s continued vigilance against financial misconduct and abuse of public office, sending a strong message to public officials about accountability.
