A middle-aged woman of Belgian citizenship has died following a tragic road accident in Kilome, Makueni County.

The incident occurred near Best Lady Farm, opposite Nyumba Ndune, as a tourist Nissan van they were traveling in collided with a trailer while heading towards Salama.

According to reports, the Belgian woman succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

A male passenger, identified as a Portuguese citizen, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have launched investigations to establish the circumstances that led to the collision. The bodies and the damaged vehicles were moved from the scene as police began preliminary inquiries.
