Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has intensified his claims against Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, alleging he has evidence linking the senior government official to the mobilisation of goons to disrupt his movements.
Speaking during an interview on KTN, Babu cited a message he claims was sent to him, which he says points to a coordinated plan to block him from accessing the airport.
“If you can just see this message, which reads, ‘Babu, tumekuwa mobilized twende airport na watu wa Raymond ndio usiingie. Tunapitia hardware kuchukua mapanga na taribo. Team ingine imeenda stage na buses kwende Kakamega.’ This is not hearsay, this is evidence,” Babu stated.
The Swahili message alleges that certain individuals had been mobilised to go to the airport to prevent him from entering, purportedly under the direction of people associated with Raymond.
It further claims they were stopping at a hardware store to collect pangas and rungus, while another group had reportedly gone to a stage to board buses headed for Kakamega.
Babu maintains that the message substantiates his earlier accusations that Interior PS Raymond Omollo was involved in organising violent disruptions.
