A family that had been desperately searching for their missing loved one has been plunged into mourning after Ephraim Githae Kiai was found dead.
According to a post shared by the family, Ephraim’s body was found at St. Teresa Hospital Mortuary in Kikuyu, bringing a heartbreaking end to days of hope, prayers and an intensive search.
The family thanked members of the public who shared his missing person’s poster, made phone calls, offered support and stood with them during the difficult period.
“What began as a desperate search filled with hope and prayers has ended in heartbreaking loss. Everyone who shared his poster, made calls, reached out and stood with the family during this painful time, asanteni sana. Your support, prayers and concern meant more than words can express,” the post read.
The family paid a special tribute to Ephraim’s uncle, Jack Kabiru, while expressing gratitude to everyone who supported the search efforts.
As they come to terms with the loss, the family is calling for answers regarding the circumstances surrounding Ephraim’s death.
They have appealed to anyone with information about his final movements or what may have happened to come forward and assist the family and investigators.
Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
