A lady was overwhelmed by emotions after she was called from work and informed that her young brother had died after consuming illicit liquor at a club in Kahawa Sukari.
According to reports, the deceased, 26, had been drinking alcohol suspected to be counterfeit at Club Legunas before he became heavily intoxicated.
When he became drunk, he reportedly joined several chairs together and lay down to sleep, apparently unaware that he would never wake up.
His sister rushed to the club after receiving the heartbreaking news, only to find her brother’s lifeless body.
The incident comes amid concerns over the availability of counterfeit liquor in the market, with such illicit drinks having been linked to deaths and serious health risks.
