Controversial singer and businesswoman Akothee has publicly criticized her baby daddy, Jared, accusing him of being largely absent from their children’s lives despite maintaining a visible presence on social media.
In a heartfelt and detailed post, Akothee expressed frustration over what she described as Jared’s insensitivity, particularly after he publicly wished their daughter a happy birthday while allegedly remaining distant in real life.
“Your presence on social media is loud and celebratory, but your presence on the ground, in your children’s lives, is almost nonexistent,” she wrote.
Akothee stated that she had welcomed Jared back as a co-parent, clarifying that the door was never closed.
However, she emphasized that his reappearance came with expectations of accountability and active involvement.
She further revealed that their daughter, Vesha Shillan, had reached out to Jared in October last year to inform him of her acceptance to Oxford University, a gesture meant to reconnect with her father.
According to Akothee, Jared’s silence deeply hurt their daughter.
The mother of five also recounted past struggles, alleging that she once faced arrest and hardships while caring for the children, at one point needing external assistance to access medical care.
She claimed that when she previously sought Jared’s help with insurance for one of the children, he responded that he had a new family.
“I never denied you access to your children. Not once. But access without responsibility is just a shadow. And shadows do not raise children,” Akothee wrote, emphasizing that her concerns are about presence, effort, and honesty in parenting, not financial support.
She concluded by noting the emotional toll on her children, who often ask questions about their father, highlighting the need for him to step up as a parent.
