A phone snatching incident in Nairobi’s Ngara area has taken an unexpected twist after the stolen device captured images of the suspected thief.
According to the victim, the phone was snatched on Saturday by an unidentified man who quickly fled the scene.
However, in what appears to be a major slip-up, the suspect reportedly attempted to unlock the device without knowing the password.
In the process, the phone is said to have automatically taken photos, which were later synced to the owner’s email account.
After purchasing a new phone and logging into the same email, the victim was shocked to find clear images believed to be of the person who took the device.
The photos have since been shared online, with the victim appealing to members of the public who may recognize the individual to come forward with information.
