A distressed family is appealing for help after their brother was allegedly locked inside a room at a club in Kotoe Market near Emali after reportedly failing to clear a drinking bill.

According to a message shared online, the man reportedly went out drinking at a club identified as Kavila Club on the road towards Mulala Girls.

During the night, he is said to have handed over his phone to the club owner, claiming that he had run out of money.

However, the situation allegedly escalated after the club owner reportedly locked him inside a small room within the premises, where he has remained since last night.

The family says they have been unable to reach him and fear for his safety.

The concerned relatives say the club management has not disclosed the amount of the bill so that they can settle it and secure his release.

“We don’t even know if our brother is dead or alive. He had head surgery last year,” the family member wrote in a desperate plea for help.

The family is now urging anyone around Kotoe Market near Emali to intervene or help confirm the man’s condition as they continue to seek assistance
