Former Deputy President and DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua hosted thousands of his neighbours to a meal and thanksgiving gathering at his Wamunyoro residence ahead of the closure of his consultative conclave.
Gachagua said the gathering provided an opportunity to thank his neighbours for their support during the 55-day consultative process that brought together leaders and opinion shapers.
He said he also briefed his neighbours on the deliberations he had held with various leaders and opinion shapers during the period.
According to Gachagua, the residents also shared what he described as incisive views on what he termed the journey towards the liberation of Kenya.
Gachagua expressed gratitude to his neighbours for supporting him as he hosted visitors at Wamunyoro throughout the consultations.
He particularly thanked them for allowing his visitors to use their compounds as parking areas, helping maintain cleanliness around the residence and assisting his wife, Pastor Dorcas, with meal preparations.
He also praised residents who helped visitors find their way to Wamunyoro, as well as young men who he said provided security around the compound around the clock.
“I remain forever grateful to my neighbors for their love and loyalty. God Bless Kenya,” Gachagua said.
The Wamunyoro consultative conclave is expected to conclude on Monday, August 24, 2026.
