New details have emerged in the case involving Dr. Dennis Masoba Nyambane, a Kiambu County surgeon detained in connection with the death of his wife, Mary Mwende Mutie.
The new claims, shared by a close colleague, include photographs and text message exchanges that point to a troubled marriage in the months before the incident.
According to the fellow surgeon, photographs show injuries that Dr. Nyambane sustained in May 2026 after he was attacked with a hammer by his wife.
The colleague also shared private text exchanges that appear to document tensions within the relationship, including claims of emotional pressure, intimidation and financial demands.
The colleague reportedly advised Nyambane to consider leaving the relationship and raising his child as a single parent, amid concerns over the state of his marriage.
The case took a tragic turn when Nyambane was arrested following the death of his wife during a domestic dispute at their residential apartment.
The emergence of the photographs and messages has added a new dimension to the case, with questions now being raised about what happened inside the couple’s marriage before the fatal confrontation.
Below are the private messages between Nyambane and his close friend, which provide his colleague’s account of the difficulties he was reportedly experiencing in the marriage.
