Residents of a sleepy village in Ukambani were left in shock after unknown individuals abandoned a body in a coffin by the roadside.
According to reports, the body was removed from a nearby mortuary before being abandoned along a dusty road under unclear circumstances.
Locals waited for someone to come forward and claim the body, but no one did, prompting them to alert the authorities.
Police have launched investigations to establish who abandoned the body and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
