Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has raised concerns over what he describes as inaction by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) following a dramatic car chase incident in Karen that reportedly forced him to abandon his vehicle.

Tuju claims that prior to the incident, he had already filed a formal complaint with authorities regarding two individuals he alleges had been trailing him.

However, he now says no meaningful action has been taken despite the seriousness of the matter, prompting fears over his personal safety.

According to Tuju, the situation escalated into a high-stakes chase in the upscale Nairobi suburb, leaving him with no choice but to flee and leave his car behind.

He has questioned why security agencies have not moved swiftly to investigate the individuals he had earlier flagged.

The former CS also revealed that his close associate, Steve Mwanga, is currently in police custody following an arrest under what he termed as unclear circumstances.

Tuju expressed concern over the arrest, suggesting it may be linked to the broader situation he is facing.

Amid the unfolding events, Tuju noted that his health remains a major concern.

He disclosed that he is set to travel to South Africa for further medical treatment.

Lately, Tuju has been facing a series of challenges over his multi-billion-shilling property in Karen, which was auctioned over a loan default.
