A routine Bolt ride turned into a terrifying ordeal after a driver was hijacked by three men and a woman who had hailed him from Makadara Railway Station headed to Maanzoni Lodge near Machakos Junction.
According to sources, the unsuspecting driver was ambushed and overpowered midway through the journey.
The gang allegedly forced him out of the vehicle and later dumped him in a bush past Salama, leaving him shaken, stranded and terrified in pitch darkness.
The criminals are said to have ripped out the car’s tracker before vanishing with the vehicle—making the hunt for the stolen car even harder.
The vehicle’s owner, a woman who fully depended on the car for her livelihood, has reportedly been left devastated, confused, and desperate as she comes to terms with the shocking loss.
Police have launched investigations as a multi-agency manhunt to recover the vehicle and arrest the culprits intensifies.
