A Kenyan woman, Sylvenda Khasoha, has been deported from India by Telangana’s elite Drug Enforcement Task Force (EAGLE) after being found involved in drug trafficking and related illegal activities.
Officials said Khasoha was detained in December 2025 alongside two other foreign women at the state border, suspected of trafficking drugs.
During questioning, the trio admitted to traveling from Delhi by air and entering Visakhapatnam illegally, where they rented an apartment and maintained a lavish lifestyle while allegedly engaging in drug dealing.
Investigations revealed that all three women possessed false passports and visas, violating immigration laws.
Verification of their biometrics with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Hyderabad confirmed that Khasoha’s visa had expired.
Following this, EAGLE requested a restraining order, and the women were placed in a detention center at the CCS in Hyderabad.
Khasoha was subsequently processed for deportation after the FRRO issued an exit permit.
An air ticket costing ₹46,500 was arranged, and after spending nearly 38 days in detention, she was deported on January 7.
Authorities emphasized the importance of strict enforcement of immigration and anti-drug laws, warning foreign nationals against illegal activities in India.
