Former Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has predicted the presidential candidate who will win the 2027 General Election.
The 2027 presidential contest is shaping up as a duel between incumbent President William Ruto and a united opposition front led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Within the opposition, five leaders have already declared their interest in the top seat. They include former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, People Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, and Democratic Action Party leader Eugene Wamalwa, alongside Gachagua.

However, the opposition has yet to settle on a single flag bearer to face President Ruto, who has already vowed to teach them a political lesson at the ballot.
In a social media post on Thursday, moments after Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance swept all four by-elections held across the country, Kuria stated that politics is more of a science than an art.
He expressed confidence that Ruto will be re-elected with a landslide victory in 2027 despite what he described as loud noise from the opposition.
“Congratulations MCAs elect in Evurore and Weche in the Mbeere North mini general elections today. I have been in multiple presidential campaigns since 1992. I will be in William Ruto’s campaign in 2027 and in Moses Kuria’s presidential campaign in 2032. Take this to the bank. Winning presidential campaigns is more science than art,” Kuria wrote on X.
