The sudden death of popular Ohangla singer Tony Ndiema has shocked fans, with many social media users revisiting one of his last interviews in which he spoke about the mysterious health challenges he had been battling.
In the interview, Ndiema narrated how he would mysteriously lose his voice and vomit blood whenever he stepped onto the stage to perform.
According to the late singer, everything would be normal while he was in the recording studio, but the moment he took to the stage to entertain fans, his voice would suddenly disappear.
Before his death on Tuesday evening, Ndiema had been admitted to a local hospital after his health deteriorated.
Reports indicate that by the time of his death, he had lost his voice and was unable to walk.
News of his passing has since been shared widely on social media, with fellow Ohangla artists and fans mourning the loss.
Ohangla musician Musa Jakadalla, through his Super Latina Band, paid tribute to Ndiema and conveyed his condolences to the singer’s family.
“Your passing is a profound loss to the music industry and to all of us who had the privilege of sharing this journey with you. Your talent, passion, and contribution to music will never be forgotten. Though your voice has fallen silent, the memories and impact you leave behind will continue to inspire many. May your soul rest in perfect peace. You will be dearly missed,” Jakadalla wrote.
