An autopsy has revealed that Consolata “Connie” Githinji sustained severe injuries before falling from a sixth-floor Airbnb in Kileleshwa, shifting the case from a suspected suicide to a murder investigation.
The postmortem showed she had a broken left hand and fractures in both legs prior to the fall.
She also suffered head injuries, blunt force trauma to the back, and a collapsed lung.
Investigators say the pattern of injuries is inconsistent with a simple fall, suggesting she may have been assaulted inside the apartment.
The incident occurred on April 26, 2026, and was initially reported as a suicide after she reportedly fell from a balcony at night.
However, the new medical findings have ruled out suicide, prompting detectives to treat the case as a suspected killing.
The main suspect, who had earlier claimed that she jumped, remains in custody at Kilimani Police Station as investigations continue.
